What
exactly is Insurance Restoration?
The insurance industry defines insurance restoration as “…returning your home to
pre-loss condition using like, kind, and quality materials.” Basically, when
you make a claim and experience a loss, it is our job to get your home back the
way it was or better quickly and efficiently. Midstates Home Solutions provides
homeowners with complete restoration services so you can continue to live your
life with as little interruption and stress as possible.
Does Midstates only do insurance work?
The majority of the work we do is related to insurance claims. Many times
Property Managers and Homeowners alike are so impressed with our work they
contract us for home improvement and maintenance projects. We provide a wide
variety of services, please see 'Complete List of
Services' page.
Do you work for the insurance company?
We work for the property owner and in alliance with the insurance carrier. We
have a partnership with the insurance carrier and keep in constant
communication with the agents and adjusters along the way, keeping them updated
on the progress of the projects.
Will my insurance cover water damage?
We always recommend contacting your insurance carrier to go over your policy and
determine your coverage. It is the property owner’s responsibility to stop
further damage from occurring. It is very important to turn off or stop the
source as well as removing the water. Midstates Home Solutions is the qualified
professional team you can count on to use the proper equipment to remove the
excess water and begin the drying process to limit the damage. Our 24 hour
emergency service allows us to be at your door within hours of you calling. See
'Water Extraction' page for more
important information.
Does any damage occur once the source of the water has been stopped?
If water and moisture are not controlled, damage can occur in many places. Floor
coverings can be damaged, drywall and insulation can soak up water causing
deterioration, and fungal growth can occur. If you have water damage it is
imperative that you respond quickly. We get there quick, rapidly mitigate the
damage, and stop any secondary damage from occurring.
What is the deal with mold and mildew?
Health concerns about mold growth in indoor environments have ignited interest
in indoor air quality investigations and biological remediation services.
Countless reports link health effects such as asthma and allergy symptoms to
residents and workers in buildings with moldy materials. Water damaged building
materials support mold growth. Such materials must be remediated as soon as
possible to ensure a healthy environment. Indoor mold is common and left
untreated can lead to serious health problems and/or liability issues. Fungi is
ubiquitous, (seeming or being everywhere at once). When moisture is introduced,
rapid growth and spread may occur.
